Overcoming Hurt♦️
“Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. Ephesians 4:31-32 NLT
Overcoming hurt can be a challenge. As long as you're a human in the world the potential to be hurt is a real thing. Hurt people, hurt people. In our generation, there are a lot of hurt people. We have a hurt society. The devil wants to put you in a place where in your mind you say, "It doesn't matter anymore.". That mindset can affect your entire life. People carry all that hurt for days, years, and decades. We have to have authority over our emotions. We can't live life with a wounded soul. Carrying all that hurt and anger will make you no fun to be around. I started seeing throughout the last few weeks that I have so much baggage of anger and bitterness. Bitterness towards family, friends, and things that happened in school. Unnecessary anger towards my mother and sister. I have a lot of anger towards them from years ago. I noticed that I carry that hurt and bitterness as a shield to protect myself. I was hardening my heart and not letting anyone in. With a wounded soul, you'll be no fun around. Stop rehearsing the hurt and allow Jesus to deliver us from the pain. We can rise above all the anger and bitterness. God's will for us is to be healed from all hurt, anger, and bitterness.
